Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: 24 September 2026

This Cancellation Policy explains how customers may cancel services purchased from Host Zora, when cancellations take effect, and how cancellation may affect billing, renewals, refunds, access to services, and customer data.

By purchasing or using a Host Zora service, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation Policy together with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and any service-specific terms presented at the time of purchase.

1. Cancelling Your Services

Customers may request cancellation of an eligible Host Zora service at any time.

Where available, cancellation should be requested through the Host Zora Client Area using the cancellation option associated with the relevant service.

Where a Client Area cancellation option is not available, customers may contact Host Zora through an official support channel.

For security purposes, Host Zora may require account verification before processing certain cancellation requests.

Submitting a support ticket, sending an enquiry, or informing Host Zora that you may no longer require a service does not automatically constitute a completed cancellation request.

A cancellation is considered properly submitted when it has been processed through the applicable cancellation method or expressly confirmed by Host Zora.

2. Cancellation Options

Depending on the service, customers may be offered one or both of the following cancellation options.

Immediate Cancellation

Where immediate cancellation is selected, the service may be terminated as soon as the cancellation request is processed.

Once terminated:

  • Access to the service may stop immediately.
  • Hosting accounts may become inaccessible.
  • VPS access may be permanently removed.
  • Website files and databases may be deleted.
  • Email accounts and stored emails may become unavailable.
  • Associated configurations may be removed.
  • Recovery may not be possible.
Customers must obtain all required backups before requesting immediate cancellation.

End of Billing Period Cancellation

Where this option is available, the service will normally remain active until the end of the current paid billing period.

The service will then be terminated and should not renew for another billing period, subject to successful processing of the cancellation.

This option is generally suitable where a customer wishes to continue using an already-paid service until its expiry date.

3. Cancellation Before Renewal

Customers are responsible for monitoring their service renewal dates and submitting cancellation requests before the next renewal payment becomes due.

To reduce the risk of an unwanted renewal, cancellation should be submitted sufficiently before the renewal date.

Once a valid cancellation has been scheduled for the end of the billing period, the relevant service should not renew after that period, subject to successful processing.

Customers should review their Client Area to confirm cancellation status.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancelling a service does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.

Cancellation and refund eligibility are separate matters.

Refund eligibility is determined according to the Host Zora Refund Policy.

Host Zora's voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee applies only to eligible first-time purchases of qualifying:

  • Shared Web Hosting
  • WordPress Hosting

A qualifying refund request must be submitted within the applicable refund period.

Cancellation outside the applicable refund period does not create eligibility for the voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

5. Windows VPS Cancellation

Customers may cancel a Windows VPS at any time; however:

Windows VPS services are non-refundable and are not covered by Host Zora's 30-day money-back guarantee once provisioned, activated, or server resources have been allocated, except where required by applicable law.

End of Billing Period VPS Cancellation

Where available, customers may request cancellation at the end of the current paid billing period.

The VPS will normally remain active until the end of the paid service period and will then be terminated.

This prevents future renewal where cancellation has been successfully processed.

Immediate VPS Cancellation

If immediate cancellation is requested:

  • VPS access may be terminated immediately.
  • The operating system may be removed.
  • VPS files and stored data may be deleted.
  • IP address allocations may be released.
  • Associated resources may be returned to the infrastructure pool.
  • Recovery may not be possible.
Immediate cancellation of a Windows VPS does not create a refund for unused time remaining in the current paid billing period.

Customers must download all required VPS files, data, and backups before requesting immediate cancellation.

6. Shared Web Hosting and WordPress Hosting

Shared Web Hosting and WordPress Hosting may be cancelled at any time.

Customers may normally choose immediate cancellation or cancellation at the end of the current paid billing period where those options are available.

Eligible first-time purchases may qualify for Host Zora's 30-day money-back guarantee subject to the complete Refund Policy.

Cancellation after the applicable refund period does not automatically create refund eligibility for unused time within the paid billing period.

Customers should obtain all required files, databases, emails, and backups before termination.

7. Email Hosting Cancellation

Email Hosting may be cancelled through the applicable cancellation process.

Before cancellation, customers should export or download any email data they wish to retain.

Following termination:

  • Email accounts may stop functioning.
  • Mailboxes may become inaccessible.
  • Stored emails may be permanently deleted.
  • Email configurations may be removed.

Unless expressly stated otherwise at purchase, Email Hosting is not covered by Host Zora's 30-day hosting money-back guarantee.

Cancellation does not automatically create refund eligibility.

8. Domain Registrations, Renewals and Transfers

Domain transactions generally cannot be cancelled after they have been successfully submitted or processed by the applicable registrar or registry.

This may include:

  • New domain registrations
  • Domain renewals
  • Domain transfers
  • Domain restorations
  • Redemption charges
  • Registry-related transactions

Domain-related charges are generally non-refundable once processed.

Cancelling a hosting service does not automatically cancel, transfer, or delete a domain registration associated with the account.

Customers remain responsible for domain ownership, renewal dates, nameservers, transfers, and expiry management.

9. SSL Certificate Cancellation

SSL certificates generally cannot be cancelled for a refund once:

  • The order has been processed.
  • Certificate processing has started.
  • Verification has commenced.
  • The certificate has been issued.
  • The certificate has been activated.
  • Host Zora has incurred a third-party certificate charge.

Cancelling hosting does not necessarily cancel an independently purchased SSL certificate.

SSL refund eligibility is governed by the Host Zora Refund Policy.

10. Website Design and Development Cancellation

Customers may request cancellation of website design, development, optimisation, custom coding, or other professional services.

Cancellation does not automatically create refund eligibility.

Payments relating to work already commenced or completed may be non-refundable.

This may include:

  • Website design
  • Website development
  • WordPress development
  • Custom coding
  • Website modifications
  • Development hours
  • Website optimisation
  • Technical configuration
  • Custom integrations
  • Content-related work

Third-party expenses already incurred on behalf of a customer may also be non-refundable.

Where a separate quotation, proposal, project agreement, or contract applies, its applicable payment and cancellation conditions may also apply.

11. Third-Party Products and Licences

Certain Host Zora services may include infrastructure, software, licences, IP addresses, or other products supplied by third parties.

These may include:

  • Windows licences
  • Control-panel licences
  • Software licences
  • Dedicated IP addresses
  • Security products
  • Premium software
  • Third-party hosting infrastructure

Where a third-party product has already been ordered, provisioned, activated, or licensed, cancellation may not result in a refund.

12. Automatic Renewals

Certain Host Zora services may automatically renew where automatic billing is enabled.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Monitoring renewal dates.
  • Reviewing renewal invoices.
  • Maintaining valid payment information.
  • Cancelling services they no longer require before renewal.

Where a valid payment method is stored and automatic payment is enabled, Host Zora may attempt to collect the applicable renewal payment.

A cancellation request should therefore be submitted before the next renewal is processed.

The 30-day money-back guarantee for eligible new hosting purchases does not restart when a service renews.

13. Cancellation After Renewal

If a service has already renewed before a cancellation request is processed, cancellation may be scheduled for the end of the newly paid billing period.

Renewal payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or otherwise provided under the Host Zora Refund Policy.

Customers who believe that a renewal payment was processed incorrectly should contact Host Zora promptly so the circumstances can be reviewed.

14. Promotional and Discounted Services

Services purchased using promotional pricing, coupon codes, introductory offers, or other special pricing remain subject to this Cancellation Policy.

A promotional discount does not make an otherwise non-refundable service refundable.

Windows VPS remains non-refundable after provisioning or activation even where purchased using a discount code or promotional offer, except where required by applicable law.

15. Customer Data Before Cancellation

Customers are responsible for obtaining all required data before a service is cancelled or terminated.

Depending on the service, customers should back up:

  • Website files
  • Databases
  • Emails
  • VPS files
  • Application data
  • Configuration files
  • DNS information
  • Other important customer content

Customers should not rely solely on Host Zora backups when cancelling a service.

16. Data After Cancellation

Once a service has been terminated, associated customer data may be permanently deleted.

Host Zora does not guarantee that cancelled or terminated data can be recovered.

Any backup that temporarily remains within our systems does not guarantee that restoration will be available.

Customers remain responsible for maintaining their own independent backups.

17. Suspension and Termination by Host Zora

Host Zora may suspend or terminate services where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • Payments remain overdue.
  • Terms of Service are violated.
  • Acceptable Use requirements are violated.
  • Fraud is suspected.
  • Spam or phishing occurs.
  • Malware is detected.
  • Hacking or unauthorised access is attempted.
  • Illegal activity is detected.
  • Security risks are identified.
  • Customer activity threatens our infrastructure or other customers.

Serious abuse may result in immediate suspension or termination.

Suspension or termination resulting from serious abuse does not automatically create refund eligibility.

18. Outstanding Balances

Cancellation does not automatically remove amounts already due to Host Zora.

Customers remain responsible for legitimate outstanding invoices, charges, third-party costs, or other amounts incurred before the effective cancellation date.

Where applicable, outstanding balances may need to be settled before certain account actions can be completed.

19. Reactivation of Cancelled Services

Host Zora may, at its discretion and where technically possible, allow a cancelled service to be reactivated.

Reactivation is not guaranteed.

Reactivation may depend on:

  • Whether customer data still exists.
  • Availability of server resources.
  • Availability of the original IP address.
  • Availability of the original VPS.
  • Payment of outstanding balances.
  • Payment of applicable setup or restoration fees.
  • Availability of required licences or third-party services.

A permanently deleted service or VPS may not be recoverable.

20. Account Closure

Cancelling an individual service does not necessarily close the customer's entire Host Zora account.

Customers may continue to access their account for other active services, invoices, domains, billing information, or support where applicable.

Where a customer requests complete account closure, Host Zora may retain certain records where reasonably necessary or legally required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, regulatory, or other lawful purposes.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Host Zora Privacy Policy.

21. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Opening a chargeback or payment dispute does not constitute a valid cancellation request.

Customers should use the applicable cancellation process if they wish to stop future service renewal.

Where a payment dispute is opened, Host Zora may restrict associated services where reasonably necessary to protect against fraud or financial loss.

Nothing in this section limits a customer's lawful right to dispute an incorrect or unauthorised payment.

22. Consumer and Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or override rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Canadian law.

Where applicable consumer law provides additional cancellation or statutory rights, those mandatory legal requirements will apply.

23. Changes to This Cancellation Policy

Host Zora may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes to services, billing systems, cancellation procedures, business practices, technology, or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on our website and the Last Updated date will be revised accordingly.

Customers are encouraged to review this policy when purchasing, renewing, or cancelling services.
